Help your child grown and learn

Are you struggling to be apart from your child? Does the thought of leaving them scare you?

The Pre-School receives support from the Early Years Development and Childcare Partnership (EYDCP) and is a member of the children links. We have excellent partnerships with parents/carers and encourage them to participate with their child/childrens learning.  Ofsted described our pre-school as "most welcoming, made attractive, cosy, and children have a great sense of belonging. Children and all staff share a warm and caring relationship. Childrens needs are met because staff take the time to talk to parents and children regularly." (Full Ofsted report available upon request). There are always options available for parents to stay and help if they wish to, or to join the voluntary committee.

We hold regular fundraising events to raise funds for equipment needed for the children. As well as excellent partnerships with parents/carers, we have fantastic partnerships with both Springwood Infants School and Hulbert junior school. We do a lot of staff training together and feel that these strong partnerships will greatly benefit the whole community.

We aim to introduce the children to their teachers at an earlier stage to help ease the transition from Pre-School to infants and continue their learning journey.

What your child can expect to enjoy at Bushytails Pre-school:

  • Secure outdoor multi sensory play area
  • Visits and outings within the local community
  • Arts & crafts
  • Music & movement
  • Dressing up clothes

Our home corner allows children to explore their imaginations, learn about healthy living and enjoy role play. It encourages their independence and allows the children to show a sense of responsibility caring for dolls and each other.

The free standing art/craft trolley is filled with a variety of materials allowing the children free choice to make or paint whatever they wish. They can experiment with mark making as well as textures and lets their creative side come alive.
